So, in this blog, we have detailed the difference between Gypsum and a false ceiling.

Gypsum Board : This material is also known as a Gypsum board, false ceiling and a Drywall. This panel is made of Calcium Sulfate Dihydrate with and without using additives which is later extruded between the thick layers of sheets. The Gypsum is mixed with fiber, particularly paper, fiberglass, asbestos, or a combination of these materials, plasticizer, foaming agent, and various additives that can reduce mildew, flammability and water absorption.

Pros of Gypsum : The gypsum-based board requires low-maintenance and is easy to install and clean.

The Gypsum board hides the electrical cables and offers a clean and furnished look to the ceiling.

The false ceiling crafted from Gypsum protects the surface from all sorts of damage.

Pros of PoP

The Plaster of Paris is non-perishable and has lifelong durability and is maintenance-free.
